Wendt x3 or SD Mixpre audiomixer?

Hi, I need a mixer to improve audio recordings, but reading all the difficulties with the low (cold) line-in on the Canon XHA1, I started without one. In Europe the USA mixers are expensive, but I can go with (new) Wendt X3 that is only 200 Euro more than the SD Mixpre. But how I search on the net...you all use the SD 302! It's hard to find useful info on the Wendt.

- one man band !
- Canon XHA1
- AKG C480 B /CK63 ULS/ CK69 ULS / Sennheiser G2 set met MKE2, MKE2 PC (with xlr module)

- also need a working set for high mountaineering (low weight/bulk & can not load batteries)
- Canon HV20 with WA adapter (I was planning on using the G2 set without Beachtek or mixer here)

I try not to buy things I only can use for one camcorder or with one person.
Who is working with the Wendt X3? And has experienced it with the A1? (Used manual mode see Max 2. )

AUDIO on XHA1:
-10 dBV /47 kohms
XLR: XLR jack (pin1: shield, pin2: hot, pin3: cold), ATT: 20 dB
-59.5 dBV (Auto mode)/600 ohms (LINE/MIC switch set to MIC)
6 dBV (Auto mode)/10 kohms (LINE/MIC switch set to LINE)

Max 1: -71.5 dBV (Auto mode, XLR GAIN UP at 12 dB)
Max 2: -71.5 dBV (Manual mode, max. volume)
Max 3: -83.5 dBV (Manual mode, max. volume, XLR GAIN UP at 12 dB)

for 1250 usd you can buy twelco 4 channels that better investmet then both of them
http://www.twelco.hu/stxidsen.pdf

about these 2 -the wendt is much much better and versatil
mic line inputs and mic line outs
individual powering for each channel , insividual attunuation
aditional stereo or mono unbalance out
much grater batterys time working
wendts are the one of the relible mixers i know
less humidity problems
and yes - another input

Its looking good this 'new europe' HUNGARY mixer, but it is to heavy for one man band, it is 1,9 kg. Old days I was walking with much heavier load, but not now..

I Like the Wendt better too. I know a lot of people here love the Mixpre. I'm not a fan, good sounding device but a lot of limitations, specially a very crappy battery life, unable to unlink the phantom power and just mic input, plus just line output. I'll go with the wendt too.
I can't complaint about reliability of the Mixpre, but the Wendt is a workhorse.

You guys really should try the Japanese Protech field mixers. I would love Oleg to use one first hand as I am sure they would meet his high standards.

Lot of people love the SD302 with reasons, but users for the Wendt X3 are hard to spot. Or?

Xray,
The Wendt is an great mixer, but having said that there are may Euro mixers that are just as good and less money for you in Netherlands because of Import/Export fees. I know all my mixer friends in London use SQN's which cost more in the USA than my SD442. I think you would be just as well off with one of these mixers as Oleg suggested. It's worth a look

your friends in londont use sqn as they been robed by the sd dealers :-)
good mixer - ot really worth the 6000usd

I know SQN.. saw it some times in production, hey I even can buy one used with 416 and bag and other things today! http://link.marktplaats.nl/144197511

I need something for mixing/recording a doc shooting with A1 and HV20, mostly one man band, remote area work, good preamps BETTER than the mic XLR line in on the Canon A1 !!

But not to complicated, not to heavy and no bad investment. (there is a change that it will drop 900 meters, but I have that problem will all my equipment...)
