Airbus A380 Cockpit

Bye DVXuser....

...Anybody know an A380user forum?

An A380'll cost a tad more than a HVX though...and it doesn't even have P2 card slots.

And they also have a camera in the tail (you can see it in a screen). With those two cameras you could even edit a short film.

that looks like it was HDR too... even looks a bit fake
nice find

I can fly that... pst... fo' show!
actually I tried the flight simulator game and I sucked! heheh... no patience for that after playing other plane games where it is all simplified and more about dog-fights...

very cool. all of the primary flight instruments are on the CRT/LCD screens (the "glass" cockpit). most of the buttons are for nav radios and communications. the third seat is for the flight engineer (also a pilot) who manges systems, fuel, company dispatch info, etc.

the side-stick controllers are definitely cool.

thats sick... JOYSTICKS! oh geez, now any FSX nerd can fly these beasts... speaking of flight sim nerds... i got a aircraft download of one of these... was able to land it on a grass strip... with length to spare,,, although i was flaring at 3000... i got down

Probably the navigator.

A380 doesn't carry a navigator. It's a two-person flight crew. Most large commercial aircraft designed over the last 20 years employ a two-seat cockpit, thanks to advances in flight, navigation and engineering systems plus a desire to cut personnel costs (the military has been going in the same direction, for a while now).

Those are jump seats for guests/visitors/off-shift flight personnel/me if someday I am very lucky.

Yeah... shows how much I know.

Just to clear some things up, if you meant HDR as in High Dynamic Range (as used in HDRI, High Dynamic Range Image) then I think you will find that it is not a HDR image rather it is as far as I can tell a Quictime VR[1], which is very easy to create using a special 360 degree dome lens [2].

But I also agree some of it looks fake (almost CG'ish)

EDIT:

Sorry for nitpicking :)
