You really might want to invest in Noah K's DVDs on FCP and the DVX100. You can look into more yourself at Callbox Live. If you're going to be using FCP and the DVX100 often it could be a valuable resource for you.
As for your specific question, you shot 24p and not 24pA correct? There is a big difference between the two, so make sure you have that sorted out. For 24p you are going to bring the footage in at 29.97 and for 24pA you are going to turn on the Advanced Pulldown and bring the footage in at 23.98.
As for the Widescreen issue, I guess you sorted that out w/ Mench in the other thread.
