I know that I'm double posting but recently there has been a great demand for SgPro footage so I thought it would be ok to post :) Maybe a moderator could delete my previous post from the XHA1 section because there seems to be more audience and interest in the 35mm adapter section?

So here's our latest work, promo video for jazz trio called Iiro Rantala new trio. Will give some details later. Notice that this is not a traditional music video, more like a master for the artists to advertise themselves.

Enjoy! :)

gear:

-Lenses, Canon FD 50mm f1.4 S.S.C & Canon FD 24mm f2.8, shot the video @ 2.8 on both lenses.
-DIY skater dolly and JIB
-SgPro R3 and SG follow focus

Cool music, nice camera work.. but for my taste little bit oversaturated and not so effective DOF effect, since you had dark/black background..

But professionaly done, anyway..

Ironically, that is why it looks good.

Good looking video - cool band!
What do you think about the follow focus? I ordered a flip module and thinking about ordring a follow focus to...

Amazing breath taking footage as always badlaa, seeing you're mastery of the A1 just tells me I haven't reached the limit of mine, damn.

Now some questions
I guess it's safe to saying you're loving your sgpro?
What kind of in camera presets did you use?
Anything interesting to say in general about the whole A1 adapter experience?

Thanks for the comments!

ecking: you're right about saying that I obviously love my sgpro, I've tried the M2, go35, wdr35, and at last I'm getting the quality that I've wanted. Now I can concentrate on shooting, not looking for obstacles from my image. I love the build quality of the unit and how robust the rig is when everything is mounted together. Also I have only good things to say about the SG follow focus unit, it's very well put together and there's little to no play in the gearbox - total nobrainer for the price!

For in camera preset I used modified Disjecta's vivid rgb, if I recall correctly, I took the color gain a little bit down and had detail on +2.

I think that the A1 + SG is a great combo, it isn't the most light sensitive of the bunch but the bokeh rendition just pays the downsides off!
