A short clip of static?

[Luis Caffesse]

I'm working on a promo and I'm in need of a short clip of video static that might be loopable.
DV would be great - but pretty much any format is okay... I mean, it's static.

Anyhow - if anyone has something like that, let me know.
Otherwise, I'll go record it off my TV.

Awesome - take your time.

Hey Luis, it might be worth your while to invest $50 in Riot Gear:

http://www.videocopilot.net/riotgear.html

It's got a lot of pre-matted things like that, which come in useful in a million situations.

[Luis Caffesse]

You know I've looked at a lot of those tutorials - but I'd never taken a close look at Riot Gear.
That does look infinitely useful - and pretty damn cheap for what it is.

I can't find any info on the videocopilot site about their user agreement - do you have any idea if these things are royalty free without limitation?

[Mark Harris]

Let me see if there is on in my package...er...riot gear package. brb.

But Andrew is on these boards, and easily accessible. Cool guy.

Yes, they are. They featured a bit in their blog where one of their pre-keyed blood effects was used in Call of Duty, who didn't pay anything extra to use it.
