Looking for Mini Amp to boost headphone out level

Im looking for a mini amp that hooks between the headphones and the output headphone jack on the DVX100. I recall a product being advertised on here about a year ago that did just that. I understand the audio level coming out of the headphone jack on the DVX100 is noticeably low compared to what actually records to tape. Can someone send me their link and/or give me their opinion of the product. Thanks

Lots of people use the boostaroo. My solution has been to use Sony 7506 headphones, whose impedance match the DVX's output quite well. I know many people have been bothered by low output, but with the right type of headphones it doesn't seem to be a problem. The DVX's output jack is probably designed to be mated to 65ohm resistance headphones like the 7506's. In any case, either solution should work well.

yepp, I am using Sennheiser HD 25 headphones and with the volume on the DVX at 75% they almost blow my head off.

Thanks for all the info. I found out the DVX100 has a headphone out thats 32 ohms. I also hear great things about the Maxell HP-2000 headphones - both price and quality. The only thing is that they may not be up to the on set physical abuse.

So there you go. Get a pair of Sennheiser HD25 or Sony 7506 (my favorite) and you can subtract the price of a Boostaroo from the cost... Then THAT number is what you're really paying for excellent headphones with great sound and PLENTY of output.

I've got the 7506s and you won't ever need to turn your DVX all the way up... These 'phones are LOUD... with excellent sound, good isolation, and they pack up into a little ball so they need very little space in your bag... considering they unfold to full size.

boostaroo has this new thing called the Boostaroo Revolution® High Fidelity Portable Headphone Amplifier & Audio Splitter would that help the low audio problems?
