Hello,
I am having a problem with some footage that I recently shot on my HVX200 using 16gb and 32gb p2 cards.
I am shooting a documentary using Panasonic DVCPROHD 720 30PN as the format for the shoot. Most of the content I shot this past week was using this format, and it all imported using the Log and Transfer in FCP6 just fine.
However, I also shot some timelapses using the Interval feature on the HVX, and therefore I had to change the recording format to 720p30p rather than 30PN for these. Unfortunately, I forgot to change the format back to 30PN immediately after the time lapses and I shot a couple of interviews in 30p. When I play them back either in the camera or in the p2 Log and Transfer window in Final Cut, they play back just fine. However, when I actually ingest or capture the footage it now plays back at a very slow video rate, and the audio plays back just about 100% speed but now is ruined with Artifacting and clipping in the audio. Also, the audio (since it is playing back at about 100% speed and the video is only about 25% or so) finishes in the clip much earlier than the video and therefore there is just slow motion video with no audio for more than half of the clip.
I have been trying to call people to help me with this. They have recommended the DVCPROHD frame rate converter, but when I try to use this, it says it can only work with footage shot between 59.79 and 50 fps. Mine is shot at 29.97 fps.
Does anyone have any way to repair these clips????!!! These are essential clips to my story, and I have never had this problem?
ANYONE?
