24p AND 24pA in the same timeline with fcp 5.1.4

Hey there folks.
I have a project that has some footage thats 24p but most of it is 24pA. This means I should probably use a 24fps timeline, but then how do I get the reg 24p stuff to look normal. Anyone have any answer that I can understand? thanks
 
You can send it to cinema tools to reverse telecine.

"it" here refers to the 24p material.

I'd go slow and copy some of the clips first and experiment to make sure you have the workflow correct.

Open CT... (close out of the database dialog box) OPEN... find clip... REVERSE TELECINE. THen you are on your own. Reading the manual about that process will help too.

I've done it MANY times and works great.

Do not (DO NOT!) conform to 24. Ok?

I don't know why I've been afraid of cinema tools before, but this saved me and fixed a lot of other things I've needed.
