What is the best and cheapest way to film an ant fullscreen?

Can this only be done with a 35mm lens (+ Letus Extreme)?
If so which one?
Where do I get it?

Is there any other, cheaper way to do this?

Thanks.
I´m not sure if I can film an ant with it.
Have you used it?
Couldn`t find a step up ring to 86mm either.
Does Schneider Optics manufacture quality lenses (never heard of them)?

Schneider it top notch and is now owned by Century, It could also be the other way around but no worries. Yes they are of fantastic quality for a lens add on. They do also sell the step down rings, I'll give you the link. And It should get you pretty close. How close are you wanting to get? Like one ant taking up most of the frame close, or like ant's head taking up the frame close? If your just trying to get one ant in the frame then it should be pretty close but for anything closer you will have to use a different more powerful macro lens. Give the reps a call they are very helpful even if you are not trying to buy anything. They can give you some actual figures like focus to distance ratios and what size objects you can shoot and fill the frame. Hope that helped.

That is so cruel. But watch out: they are everywhere, know everything, are stronger than you think and probably even in your computer :badputer:

Coming to think of it, I should rather film beetles...

Anyway, which lens is appropriate?
Are these Schneider Optics good enough for the screen?

An ant`s head taking up the frame close would be great, but I guess I need a different lens for that. If it is not possible or way too expensive, I can live with an ant`s body filling the frame.

I`ll talk to Schneider monday. Until then more information is appreciated.
Is 2.6x enough for my purposes?
