Hanna Montana 3D concert movie

it seems like they used that 2 camera technique to get 3d
on one of the promotional spots airing on Disney Channel they show a crane with what it appears to be two cameras paired togheter and a HUGE sunshade on them
the only reason why I bring this up is because there used to be a thread here about someone developing 3D video with 2 DVX's it was also on DV magazine.

thoughts?

U2 did the same thing haven't seen any of their footage yet.

Thoughts? Aren't you a little old to be watching Hannah Montana? What's next? My Little Pony pajama parties?

Sorry, but you did ask... :)

I hear those tickets are going for up to $3,000 each. Hell, I can see people having to lie to get them, and I'm sure it won't be too long before somebody ends up dead over a ticket.

I have no idea what a "hanna montana" is, but it sounds vaguely along the lines of a "rusty trumbone." That said, I did see a preview for the U2 concert in 3D and it was nothing short of amazing. You were there on stage with them in front of 50,000 people. Really, really impressive.

Hannah Montana is a Disney show, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter in the main role of a young girl that is a huge pop idol. People are just going nuts with her concerts for some reason.

Those people are kids and they drive the ticket sales.

I don't think it is just kids that are responsible for those prices. It would be cheaper to get your kid a pony instead of a concert ticket. Just hope the horse doesn't bite :)

I have boys, so there isn't a huge viewer demographic in this house for it, but I heard about an interview with her Dad, Billy Ray. He was complaining that she has 3 or 4 busses, and he only has 1.

Buy? yes. Maintain? No.

My 6 year old daughter watches this show, and yeah, it's cheesy as hell. But I enjoy it for what it is. I was among the millions back in the day hoping that Billy Ray would get humped by a steamshovel for the never ending violation of my ears called "achy breaky heart" But he seems to not take himself very seriously in this.

Anyway, I'd lay odds little Miley Cyrus turns out better than Britney.

Disney knows exactly what our kids want - and this year that's Hannah Montana. Consider that the kid's network has sometimes outperformed everything else during a given period - nipping at the ratings heels of the NFL, Heroes or Lost.

The grown-ups in the room might not get it, but 17.7M cable viewers saw High School Musical 2 the night it premiered and the original soundtrack for HSM1 has gone quadruple platinum.

Advice for mom and dad? Get out your wallet and keep your opinions to yourself!

I've read several articles on the outrageous ticket prices and pandemonium that's set in for HM and the common thread is parents haven't taught their kids the meaning of the word "No".
I'm not sure what's worse- spoiled rotten kids or their immature spoiled rotten enabling parents.
One thing for sure though, target marketing is alive and well.....

You certainly seem to know a bit about it. ;)

I don't know how kids watch this stuff these days.

I was showing my mom how to use our DVR so I recorded Oprah for her. Little did I know, that day Hannah Montana was on. I was in and out of the room, but what I happened to pick up annoyed me to no limit.

Her dad said something like, "Her real name is Destiny Hope, because I had a dream that she was destined to bring hope to the world and be famous... and look what happened." That kind of self-righteousness is so uncalled for that I can't even begin to trash it properly. He's acting like she's the next Martin Luther King Jr.

When they showed a clip of the show a girl (presumably Hannah Montana) was in a chicken suit dancing or something. There's an age where watching stupid things like that isn't such a bad idea but I know of 11-14 year olds still watching Hannah Montana.

Well, keep in mind that the Disney channel is targeted toward a certain age group, mainly middle school kids. I remembered I used to like Disney channel back then, but as you get older, a lot of the stuff that seemed entertaining back then just come off as trite and sugar coated.
