Hey everyone,
So for Christmas I got a plethora of gift certificates to filmtools.com, and was looking at getting a car mount for my DVX100. Does anyone have any experience with any of the mounts they sell?
This one caught my eye,
http://www.filmtools.com/grip32manwoo.html
has anyone used this before? here is the info on the manfrotto head,

it is supposed to support 8Kg, but should i look for something to support more, since it will be on a vehicle, like to account for, wind resistance or anything?

Thanksn and Merry Christmas!

So, do you know what the package comes with? because what's in the photo is different than what's listed in the description. At least from what i could tell.... Unless i just cant read..

I've got some experience with the FilmTools mount. Shot a short film last summer using the mount quite a bit. I can't say enough good things about it. Easy to set up, solid, safe, foolproof. All good. I'd never used one before, so I bought an extra 6" cup for a total of two 6" cups, and one 3".

I have one similar to that but better because of the areticulating arms. I've used it a lot and even rented it out to where its paid for itself.

I love it. I use it for my HVX200. The one thing to be sure of is to always safety it and keep the pump pressured.

how are the arms in the mount you have better? Just thicker?
Also, i have looked at the stickypod, but it seems to me that you need a fairly big, flat surface to mount it to. like it doesn't appear that it would work too well if you wanted to mount it to the side of a car, or above the tire..
please correct me if i'm wrong though!

Well, I ordered the filmtools mount, (along with bunches of other goodies) today, I'll let you know how it works for me next week when it arrives!
