Writing a montage of action

I have come to a point in my script where I want to incorporate a montage of stuff to show time going by. Basically my movie is a gangster/crime flick so I want to show a group of gangsters doing a bunch of deals, ''kneebreakers'', heists, etc.

Should I just write in a description of what is included or should I go way in depth in detail, or should I go some other route?

thanks

My suggestion: do both.

Honestly, you can't really go wrong.

All in all, it really depends on how you want to write it. If you want to put in as much description as you can, do it. But don't go overboard. What would be best as well is if you include some examples of the montage in your next post. We can take a look over it, see if it needs any trimming or any adding. And I'm sure we're more than welcome to help out.

Simply write out each shot in a very brief statement. You simply write down what we see on the screen. Long detailed explanations are not needed.
