getting ready to get a new mac tower to run fcp, trying to figure out the best brand and most important specs to look for in the monitor. I'm looking for either a 22 to 24 inch widescreen monitor. whats the best brands and deals? thanks!

uh wait a week or two bud. Macworld is this month. Maybe Apple will drop their prices.

I vote Dell screens. However, if you want to you the Matrox MXO, then go Apple.

forget mac desplays there over priced i was recomended a Dell 2407 which is cheeper and better then the cinema displays

Gateway has a good 24 inch model made by samsung It's good because it does true 1080p has wide gamet color & has inputs for hdmi dvi component composite & s-video So it can be used for both a shooting monitor & for editing > $550.

GOTTA GO DELL! I cannot stress this enough. Simply the best monitors hands down. Unless you want to use the MXO, then you need as least one Apple 23".

DELL!

thanks for input, i think im gonna go for the dell 2407, do you think anything will change with the new mac pro and its price at macworld? it just came out a couple of days ago
