importing 1080 24pA footage into FCP 6

Having issues with the new Final Cut. I am shooting with the HPX500 1080 24pA with 16 gig p2 cards. I set the "preferences" in the "LOG and TRANSFER P2" window to
Remove advanced pulldown. However, I am ending up with clips that are still 29.97.
I am having to manually remove the pulldown. Any one heard of this or know of an easy work around?

Are you sure it was 24pA and not 24p? How many interlaced frames do you see every 5 frames? If it's more than 1 it's 24p.
