Day in Seattle - New footage with the XHA1/LEX combo

nice new page Ste!

video was great, as usual. Not as punchy tho? Color grading choice or just not enough light?

nice little.. possum?

Awesome work, brutha!

My Mom just moved from Seattle - I'm gonna miss that place!

The street musicians in front of the coffee store was probably my favorite footage - rich and saturated - loved it.

My favorite memory of the Seattle Center is from about 10 years ago - a homeless guy had his dog sitting in the middle of the plaza, hat on its head, sunglasses on and holding a foam cup in its mouth, begging for the guy who was asleep over under a tree. So classic, I had the image drawn up for my business logo.

you should be on the letus and canon payroll.very nice.i disagree with papa,i think this represent some of your better coloring.

Thanks guys...the color was deliberate, I wanted it a little less saturated although the colors around the EMP are like that, not real vibrant.

just watched again.maybe i need to calibrate my monitor but i think the colors are perfect.the picture looks very organic.

i don't think i said i found it good or bad, just not as vibrant as usual.

no, my disagreement is the colors being less punch than usual.i just thought they were a little more in my opinion on the punchy side.

I have just ordered the letus economy and after watching this video I'm VERY VERY worried...that I may not be able to stop shooting :D

Favorite shots: street singers and possum dude

Hey Disjecta, did you place the camera straight away on the monopod with the LEX on it or did you place the entire rod system on top of the monopod. I'm asking you this because even though I use a tripod for actual work sometimes I want to take the camera+35mm adapter for a walk and I don't want to take a heavy tripod with me. I own a monopod too and I just bought the letus economy, so I was wondering how does this combo work.

Somebody asked me about how I tote my gear around town for these kinds of shoots but I can't find the post, maybe it was in the stills thread. Anyway, I have a shoulder strap on the camera and I just sling it over my shoulder with the rods system and LEX attached and carry the monopod in my hand, it's pretty light. I sometimes also carry a steady bag (sand bag) if I plan on doing more creative shots.

Which monopod do you have Steven? :) Nice footage as always.

I find that when I walk around with my camera on rods w/adpater, people look at me like I am carrying a weapon. Blending in is hard enough with any camera, but the adpater/rails setup is sort of an added obstacle on its own.

Do you have that issue?

I find that when I have the camera on a strap and it's slung over my shoulder, particularly if I'm wearing a jacket, it almost becomes invisible. It's also easier to hang out at places where there are a lot of people with cameras anyway.

Outside of that kind of place, it becomes way more obvious. My biggest fear is that someone will come over and rip it off my shoulder or the like.
