damn christmas getting in the way of my shots

Just thought Id vent a little how Christmas decorations are ruining my shoot. God! They're everywhere!!!
 
ROFL! That is one of the reasons I won't shoot on Christmas or family gathering gatherings. If I can't pre-stage everything and block the shots, I won't do it. To avoid the family getting to not like me, I let the wife shoot the family events and I try to make it better in post production for the DVD that I send out to the family.
 
Hah! I've been on several shoots where the bank/store/office was perfect during the scout only to show up to a sea of red and green...one shoot at a bank I think we had to relocate about 40 pots of poinsettias! How about showing up at the office to shoot on the friday where everyone has decided to where red and green...you'd think I'd learn from Halloween...

yea, me too. I got such amazing performances the other night from my actors. I tried to limit the red and green junk by taking things down but this house has so much of it and I didnt want to be a pain in the ass

Note to self:

BE A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! OR SUFFER A RE-SHOOT
 
or set your script at Xmas, and take advantage of folks all over town doing 'free' set decoration for you
