Good articulated arm for monitor?

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a good articulated arm for my 7 inch lilliput monitor. I was looking into the Varizoom VZ-AR-5K (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/297469-REG/Varizoom_VZ_AR5K_VZ_AR_5K_Adjustable_Joint_Arm.html) because it looks very versatile (which is a big plus, since sometimes I have to put the monitor upside down and sometimes I don't) but it doesn't say how much weight it can handle. Although it looks versatile it also gives me this fragile vibe and I don't know if it could handle the monitor's weight, plus the power cable and the camera to monitor cable. I'm probably being silly but I would feel safer to hear from someone who's used it before.

thanks

I use the ultralight arms (made by Gates) and are really happy. They are very flexible in terms of adjusting. My arms hold the Marshall r70 and have no problems, I also use the Zatuco mini-mount as not to stress any on-camera mounts. Good setup.

I'm looking for an arm as well. Is it agreed that the ultralight arms are the best? i definitely like how light they are. Can you be more specific about exactly what you used? Was it the "video monitor with 8" arm"? Is this the only thing you need to order to attach the monitor to rails?
If you go with the Noga, what do you use to clamp it to rails? The link above looks like it doesn't come with anything.

I went with the Manfrotto listed above. In hindsight, I would rather have purchased this version which locks down.

I find that with the 'dial-to-tighten' approach you can never be sure you are really locked down. This item is a better choice in my opinion.

both the manfrotto/bogen arms are heavy arms by them-selves. With the added weight of the monitor- the combination is quite heavy. Hope you shooting on a rig or tripod... cause youll need something like this to support that arm. Also both Bogen/manfrotto arms are designed with the super clamp in mind... more weight.

I went with the noga on my Lilliput... right to the shoe mount... though I own both bogen/manfrottos
