anybody know who made this short?

I don't think that's the same short he was talking about.
He mentioned it being shot in black and white with a Brevis.

I haven't checked out the original link because it is taking too long to load.

No it's not the same one. It looks like a DVX style short. A web search turned up nothing. The file properties summary was empty.

already tried Luis...

rant begins here:

I am sick and tired of sites that setup complex signup methods but don't have the coding know-how to make them work. I tried 5 times to sign up at the Brevis site and each time it said I wasn't entering the correct code -- from those awkward-looking letters and numbers coding boxes that filter out spammers. After five times it said I had tried to signup too many times and that I would have to "try again later".

rant ends

So anyway, that's why I'm stuck coming over to good ole dvxuser. I figure there's probably someone around here who knows who did this. It's too good of a short not to have a following.

Well, I can see why you want to know who made it...
I was just now able to download and watch it.

Great short.
Nicely shot - and a more importantly a great story.

EDITED TO ADD:
I just dropped Dennis an email about this - hopefully he'll get back to me or pop into this thread.

if not you could always try calling the phone number in the short
:)

I'm downloading now. Based on Luis's review...I'm looking forward to it...

On another note, this one was done by DVXuser patrykrebisz, and he gained quite a bit of recognition for it.

Thanks for posting this. I had never seen this. This is the type of short that makes you think, "wtf? I have got to get off my ass and start telling stories." I really liked this. Any more details about this? The still cam he used, how long it took etc?

Yeah, I agree, it's a good one. I saw a small piece on CNN or some other major news channel about the short just after I first watched it.

There's a lot of info on the "description" page of his website here:

http://www.patrykrebisz.com/films_between.html

and you could always PM him here, or just wait and see if he stumbles upon this thread. He's a fairly avid user...

I talked to him about it, and he was happy to answer a few questions I had.

Sorry for the off topic, but here's a bump for ya ;)

I really liked that short (the unnamed short).

It would have been a good love fest entry.

...oh wait, I made it

I really like it, too. I downloaded it before I went to see that POS I Am Legend and never got back to comment on it. But it gave me a cool idea for a story that was MUCH DARKER than this one.
