Oh the Horror of it All

Rendered a project in 24p.
Applied MB "Green Pearl" and was so impressed with how DVD looked on my NTSC and CRT monitors.
A work of art.
I was so proud.
Then I viewed it at on the client's NTSC with their DVD player.
It looked horrible.
Dirty looking, blown own whites.
It had a real video look,---a bad video look.
I was totally embarrassed.
Like something that would happen in a nightmare.
What did I do wrong?
I chose 24p from properties.
Am I missing something?
How can a project look so good when play from one source and so bad when originatying from another.

Is your monitor (or is theirs) calibrated ?

If your NTSC monitor was properly calibrated, then their TV wasn't. You can't do a thing about that.

The 24p effect and Magic Bullet colour grade seem to work somewhat here.
Though the resolution is not high.
