Anybody selling skater dollies?

Anybody selling skater dollies? I'm looking to buy one. I've seen a lot of DIY skater dollies that perform amazingly and cost VERY little (around 250$). I looked around with google but all I have found was the P+S TECHNIK, which is WAY more expensive. Is there's anybody out there selling DIYs I'm in.

Axis Dolly sells a system, but for $1300. There was one person here who was selling them for $250 on ebay, but I think he stopped making them.

Rawfa,

Here is the unit that we sell:

It is a bit different than the P+S Technik unit but it performs the same function. Take a look and if you or anyone else have any DIY questions please feel free to ask.

I've managed to access your website a while ago but now it seems to be down.
Is there like a demo section? I'd also like to hear from fellow filmmaker who have tried this solution.

Rafa,

I noticed that you are in Barcelona, if you were in the states I would just ship you one so you could try it out, lo siento. As for user reviews I should have those up on the website in the next week or so.

Hey Rafa,

We are about to finalize our very heavy duty skater, which will soon be available for sale in a small series.
It is crafted entirely from aluminium and stainless steel, with precision ball bearings, etc.

Made in Romania

Stay tuned for the latest pictures ...

We call it the "Red Skater"

Edi5,
looks like you're using 1 inch aluminium, wouldn't 1/4 or even 1/2 inch be enough? It seems like it would get very heavy.
Also have you figured out how to lock the rocker plate?
Shane.

I'm working on making aluminum ones built very similar to the ps technik ones. I've made a wood test and the first aluminum one should be ready early in the new year. I'll be sure to post footage and images as soon as it's done. If there's any interest I could have some for sale.

Looks very nice! I'd be interested...

Looks almost like the original design... you even do the rocker. wow!

Keep us updated

Bob Hill: It has a fast and easy setup and appears to be smooth.

Can you show some footage of it in use at various settings? Can you show a pan, a truck, a arc, and a basic dolly movement?

I know I'm asking a lot. But, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is curious and considering this product.

Thank You

Pawpaw,

I'll put something together and post it up this week. Right now I am working on couple of different commercials and finishing up some new products so please bear with the delay.

Hi Bob,

I think you should add Brakes to that thing of yours. One thing that the P + S skater does is precision marking around the subject. I can see that one will have a hard time adjusting your skater to dolly around a given point . Just a thought.

Thanks for the post. I'll be posting up the video of the dolly in action where you can see how quickly and precisely it can be adjusted. As for the brake, we actually eliminated it after beta but if there are enough people asking for it we can certainly add it back in.

Kwan,

I'll shoot you an email later today about possibly sending out a unit.
