magic bullet and vegas

I have two questions today (which will clearly demonstrate I am a newbie).

1- exactely what does magic Bullet do _ You guys are always talking about it, so it must do something gooood - What do you use it for?

2- does it work with vegas?

3- where to get it?

THANKS!

1. It applies PRST 'looks' to your footage. Color Correction, grading, contrast, etc

2. Yes

3. Google is your friend.

1. It's a color grading plugin that gives you different film-like looks (and tremendously long render times). It's way overused.

2. Yes.

3. http://www.redgiantsoftware.com/

Honestly, I'd look into David Jimerson's Celluloid over MB. It's much cheaper, the render times are much shorter, you have some really nice looks and you're supporting a good guy.

You can get it here:

Yup, what everybody else said, and I love it. I have the old version and it still surprises me how it turns good looking footage to great looking footage.

I tried to download the demo....it wants to know what NLE I have and Vegas is not on the list?????? Is this really compatible with Vegas?

Thank you all! I am going to read your blog Eugenia and check it out. I have a top pro post prod lab in Germany that has offered to do all the color correction and run filters for film look to help me out. Free of charge, they are hotrodders and eager to help for my film. However, should they not come through for me it would be nice to be prepared and know how to use. So I will definitely keep it in mind.

Oddly enough, when I install the MB Editors thing nothing happens: It's as if the plugin isn't there. I am using Vegas 7.0. Any tips?

The plugin does not appear on the VFX menu.
