Is this enough light? Music video setup.

I'm shooting a music video in a large space in a an abandoned factory. I have a backdrop with stripes of hanging black fabric about 6" apart. The concept is to have 2 2k fresnels as backlight shining through the "wall" and then use a little smoke to make the "stripes" visible.

I don't care if it gets dark on the sides, I don't really care about the factory as a location. I just want enough light to light the 5 man band in the wide shots.

I will probably use a little softer lighting on the close-ups.

I have another 2k fresnel as key light and a 1k fresnel as fill. I have a couple of 800w redheads if needed too. Is this enough? I'm shooting on a hvx200 with brevis35 and nikon f2 lenses.

It depends on a multitude of different things. What T-stop do you want to shoot at? How close are the lights going to be in relation to the things they are lighting? Are the lights being shot through any kind of diffusion or gel? If it's an abandoned factory can you even power 3x 2K's and a a 1K?

No diffusion or gel for my wide shots. It's totally dark outside when we shoot. It gets dark early here in winter Sweden.
Power is all taken care of.
I haven't decided but I think I will shoot it all with f2.8.

The backlight will be about 10 feet from drum kit and 15 feet from singer.
Key and fill, depends on what i can get away with. 20-25 feet? It can be less.

If I'm doing it right I get just the right exposure. Both from back and key light.
I even have a margin. Hope it works out as good in practice.

It worked out nicely. I'm happy with the result. I will post results here later when the video is released.
