Urgent - How do I save/export widescreen as letterboxed 4/3?

I am at the tail end of a film competition.

My film is complete and was shot widescreen.

I need to export it as 4/3 letterboxed though.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Create a 4:3 sequence then nest (drop your other 16:9 sequence) in that sequence.

That should do the trick quickly.

If you are using the latest Final Cut (FCP 6 / Final Cut Studio 2 ) it will ask you if want to auto set the sequence to match footage, be sure to click "no".
