Hi to all, i hope is the right section. In january i will probably shoot a new short and the goal is to make something similar to Sleepy Hollow. Can you suggest me movies that shares nearly the same gothic grotesque style or look.

His new one, "Sweeney Todd" looks to have a very similar treatment applied. Comes out around Christmas here in the U.S.

That film was shot by Emmanuel Lubezki. I would check out American Cinematographer magazine. If you live near a large library which might carry and achieve past issues, I bet there is a great article on it.

If I come across anything else I'll let ya know.

Limeny Snickets - which I think was also shot by Chivo.

It has more warm hues, but I watched Sleepy Hollow back to back with From Hell, and what a fascinating comparison to see what looks similar, and different.

I'm pretty sure Sleepy Hollow was filmed on a massive set, which makes the style hard to imitate on a non-Hollywood budget -- just throwing that out there.

Also, From Hell is one of my all-time favorite movies, and while quite different from Sleepy Hollow in style (as posted above), it's also quite dark.
