Adding telecine to 720 24pn footage in an 29.97 SD timeline

This may be an odd problem but I can't find any (decent) solution.

I want to put footage shot 720 24pn into a 29.97 SD timebase and have it ADD a pull down so that it will play smoothly. Currently no matter what I do, it always just duplicates a frame instead of blending mid-frames.

Does that make sense? Is there even a solution???

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
 
I actually downloaded the plugin trial and it didnt work correctly or something. The footage was slowed down and out of sync with the audio by a lot.

Which plug in did you use, the package contains several. You should actually try Standards Conversion since you are putting 24p into a 29.97 timeline.
 
That didnt work correctly either. Also I tried to use the revisionfx add pulldown filter and THAT didnt work either!!! Both look like they have the right idea but infact dont work correctly.

The only solution I found was to just print to tape and then recapture.... which is really annoying.

Apple, please put normal pulldown into Final Cut Pro editing streams. Thanks.
