Just got off the phone with Tony (aka Big Scarecrow) and this week I'll be on the show to discuss the making of Heart of Now. there is a long-standing thread here at DVXUser with a few nuggets of info about the production and of course, the main web site too.

It would be awesome to have a bunch of DVXUsers call in with their questions about the prepro and production phases (we wrapped principal photography about four weeks ago). I plan to have members of the cast and crew available on the show as well. so you can ask anything from what our casting process was like, to how our sets are run, or tech questions about lighting or the Brevis35 and HVX200, etc. Any questions you got I will answer to the best of my ability.

Very nice Zak.

I think your film has a very human feel to it... very organic... really has the feel of a Sundance flick...

But, from the little teaser I didn't get much about the story... I'd be curious to hear more about that tonight. Thanks :)
 
f*ck sundance!!! j/k, thanks for the kind words. we're still in editorial, re-discovering the story, and will be for a long time. so it's a little early to be releasing that kind of information in trailer form. and so... I opted to put out this preview of imagery instead. we'll talk more about that tonight!!!

Why am I having issue's listening? Just like last week, I get the quicktime "?" on the listen page. Last week I gave up, but I'd kind of like to listen tonight.

Before that, I had no trouble's...

Where's the real player stream?
 
I know, but I have a feeling I'm going to run into the same problems as last week...

I'll try firefox instead of safari and see what happens.

EDIT: firefox seems to work.
 
40 minutes to go, rcbrown. i'll be having Kevin Shah (producer) call in to flesh out what it took (or takes) to get a low budget independent feature made -- what we did, tips, etc.

so bring your questions!
 
awesome. we'll be having a producer, the lead actor, lighting designer and sound designer calling in, as well as myself (writer, director and cinematographer), so feel free to formulate questions in those arenas!!

on listening to the show, the player is programed to stream in either quicktime or windows media. Try clicking the player from the home page. And yes - firefox should work just fine.
