Where can I get 'prop money' from?

Printing your own "realistic-looking" $100 bills would amount to counterfeiting, which is a federal offense that's going to land you some nasty jail time.

How many do you need? Just go to the bank and get some real bills and use those. If you need wads or stacks of 'em, put a hundred on each end and stack ones in the middle.

I'll sell you a bunch that I have laying around, but they were expensive, so I'm gonna have to charge $101 per bill.

PM me if you're interested.

You can find photo shoped examples on the net or scan your own and change them so you are in compliance with US Law.

For close ups use the real thing.

For anything else these will do.

Just be aware that many scanners will not scan legal tender.

There are work arounds on the net though.

Do you really have that many 100 dollar bills laying around? Who did you kill or what did you sell?

would you not be able to make a cardboard box (that is printed with the top sides and bottom) such that when you fold it into a "stack of money" shape it looks like a, well stack of money?

or just get cartrigde paper (to get the look and feel of thicker paper similar to real money, cut to the right size and print only the top one....?

Yeah, you'll probably need about 20 or 30 g's. PM me for details. I think we have several 'assocciates' in the immediate area.

//lol, soooory. Just print the top in low res and put those on the top of the fake bundles.

:) :) :)

If you're looking for US bills, why not check with some production houses and prop rental companies....you always see stacks of jack in film, and they have to have found it somewhere if they didn't make it themselves.

Actually, there is a good thread on here from a while back...

Even if you did need a huge stack of hundreds, you could just go to the bank and get two or three hundred dollar bills for the top of the stacks, and then make the rest of the stacks filled with $1 bills... that would still give the appearance of actual stacks of bills (because it would be), but wouldn't take any work.

I used photocopied hundreds for the top of each stack, (yes, I know it's illegal), then cut paper for the rest of the stack. We made our own wrappers. For the shot in this teaser we used a stack of real singles with a real hundred on top:

If anyone knows where I can find (either online or in a store) realistic looking $100 bills, please let me know! I need them for a prop for my short film. Thanks!

i just found a site that may be able to help. email them your name, number, and address and they will send someone out.

Even if you only printed on one side? I would think that would be ok, since you couldn't pass them off as real.

Of course, I play the tuba, so what do I know from federal offenses?
