New Indie Focus short review

Guys,

I just want to tell you that the new Indie Follow Focus works really well! I have used it on multiple shoots and compared it to a RR one and they are both IDENTICAL in performance.

Backlash is gone, focus is really smooth and the hard stops really come in handy. The new whip whole and whips are a huge improvement and are very accurate.
The only thing that the RR has over the indie focus is its look... :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
(I think the RR is prettier...but is this really worth the extra cost????.....I think not!).

I highly recomend it and the price is unbeatable for the performance you get! The support from Tim is also top notch!!!! He will take good care of you!
If anyone is looking for an affordbale follow focus (sub $800), it's my opinion that this is the best bang for your buck.

As do I. The new unit is a dream.

I ain't knocking the redrock, their follow focus is a great looking unit and a real performer, but for $389 the IndiFOCUS is a third cheaper, is on par with performance and gives me some money to buy some new glass [lenses].

Can you guys post some pics? Also are there two hard stops and how do they work? Can you set them to soft stops so you can feel when you've hit the mark but still have some room to move?

I'm very keen to purchase a FF for my brevis adaptor but have never used one before so any info is appreciated.

tmnt,

These were taken quickly one night. I'll take other pictures soon with it on my HVX in better light

The hard stops are hard I'm afraid. Not sure how a soft stop would work. You need to hit marks so I don't know if you really need what you are asking for. I could be wrong.

Thanks
