Importing into FCP from DVD

I'm looking to help my actor friend with a quick and simple actor's reel. All her clips are on 2 DVDs. Can someone take me through the steps of importing video into FCP from a standard DVD?

DVD's are compressed and muxed. You will need something like Cinematize to rip and demux the video into something that fcp will use.

I used ffmpegX once...it works fine for me..and I think is free.

I'm using streamclip and it's moving extremely slowly. How long should a 22 minute DVD take? And any advice if I'm trying to put it into a project that is 16:9 HDV that I shot at 24f on a HX-A1 ?
