How to reproduce the same audio, like in this vid

We are setting up at home small studio to videoshoot some interview type "head and shoulders" videos, in a 10X10 square room and can't quite figure out the sound set up. I came across this vid http://www.watchmojo.com/index.php?id=3724 and really like their sound but having hard time trying to reproduce the same kind of sound quality. I like how it's lively and not boxy at all, we want the same!

We have panasonic dvx100b

I see that they use lavalier mic but don't know what kind. Also, what kind of room size, ceiling height, room treatment needed to achieve this kind of sound.

Any advise on how we could reproduce their sound, would be greatly appreciated.

Hmm, I don't think its that great in all honesty. There is clearly some sort of noise in the background.

Indoors a lav would be fine or a hypercardioid mic on a boom (not a shotgun). To dampen noise hang sound deadening blankets around-- basically soft stuff to kill reverb.
