Getting Rid Of Wrinkles

Alright...so you came in here expecting a discussion on anti-aging products, but OH NO...I've got to bring up silly green screen questions. I am just curious what everyone in here uses to remove the wrinkles from storage on their green screens. I am really curious as to whether or not it is acceptable to use "wrinkle releasing" sprays on the green screen fabric. I have also thought about bringing in a steamer (and a jug of water), but it would require purchasing a bigger model as the one I have is quite small and takes forever. I am just looking for a simple and effective method(s) that won't take too long to do. Thanks!

Can't say about the anti wrinkle spray, but every time I hang my green screen we use the steamer to get the wrinkles out. I don't know how big ours is I think it is a tiger or shark or something like that. It belongs to the prop guy I always work with. But we have a forty foot green screen and by the time we get it set up he starts steaming and is done by the time we get it lit.

Hey -

There is a spray that helps with wrinkles, but it is made for clothes and it may depend on what your green screen is made of. I've never tried it on a screen, just clothes and it does work, at least better than not using it anyways. You can find it at any Target type of place.
Sometimes I have used a steamer, and that helps. Although normally I never use anything. We fold up all screens, even the 20x's, just like you would if 2 people were folding a sheet. Keep it in a big canvas bag that is big enough that you don't have to fold it too small. If you light it correctly (as straight on as is possible) and if you use a frame to tie it tightly, you should never have to worry about wrinkles.

Good Luck!
