NEW 1024x768 HD Monitor

Exciting... very exciting. How long do you estimate delivery time will be? I will be in the US for about a week (starting middle of next week) and it would be really neat to bring one with me home. :)

Hi Johan,
Will you be in the Los Angeles Area?
I might be able to get one to you then.
send me a PM and we can talk about it.
Thanks,
Luis

Hey Guys,

So I finally got my site up:
www.lsdsgn.com

The monitor is looking awesome. I got the first box back from the silk screening place. :)

I hit a few delays because I found a guy who will do custom buttons for me, which is something I really wanted to fix.

Now I can concentrate on the battery options which I'm working on right now. I should be able to have it take any battery. I will keep you posted on that.
In the mean time, I'm taking orders that I will ship within 2-3 weeks from Monday. So all those with Tekkeon Batteries, will be able to order it for now and use their Tekkeon Battery. By the time I ship, I should have solved the battery solutions.

Please check out the web site.

Thank you,

Luis Sinibaldi

Thanks Matt,

It looks so much better when you have it silked screened. I'm not sure if you have been following it, but I'm also getting a guy to make me custom buttons. so it will have a blue button, a aspect ratio toggle, an underscan/ overscan/ and slight zoom toggle, and an input toggle.

I'm actually meeting with a very reputable retailer tomorrow to discuss the possibility of them carrying it at their store. I wanted to keep it for myself only, but people are skeptical to buy from one guy, so maybe from the store it will be ok. (I'll have to raise the price I'm sure, but we'll see)

How's the shoot coming along. are you done? if you are free, maybe you can help us on our short. (whenever you have time)

Hey Puredrifting,
Nothing on the back as of yet, but I will have a removable plate that will allow you to switch between panasonic, sony, V-mount and Gold Mount Battery options. Rather than make these connections internal and having your monitor be stuck with one option, I will make them external so you can swap out whichever plate you need. (ex. you are in an expensive shoot with tons of anton bauer bricks, just switch backplates to the gold mount and there you go. You get to an indie shoot the next day and have tons of Panasonic batteries, switch plates and there you go)

Also here are the pics for those who didn't get to go to my site. I know Richard was having trouble looking at my site from China.

note: the buttons will be better than these and I will have more. see the full specs on my site. and this is the TCHD-01b model with one HD-SDI IN and one HD-SDI OUT.

Is there "loop through" for Component. i hope so. Didn't see it though. I think that's important.

Any chance of adding a waveform like the Panny eventually?

Battery Mount?

Battery Mount?

Luis, I am interested to learn if the battery mount is two Panasonic batteries, and what the other power connection inputs are, such as XLR and/or 2.1mm plug? Also, if the unit has a power attenuator that will allow for power in a range, say 10-30v?

Looking good, a nice big high resolution screen. cheers.

Same question, almost. I recognize the batteries as Tekkeon's, but who manufacture's the mount you show in:

Hi Claycle:

If you check out Luis' website, you will see that those cool battery mounts are his. I am so impressed with his monitor, it seems like a great deal. Once my checking account recovers from buying the Letus Extreme, rails, rods, mounts, lenses, matte box, filters, case, etc. (oh my gosh, have I spent this much on my HVX??) I may have to buy one of these from Luis.

Luis, any idea how long you can offer the Carrion at your introductory prices? At least a month or two? I want one but need to do some shoots to pay for one.

Best,

Dan

BTW Luis, Love your monitor but you may want to rethink your name for it.

Luis made both battery mounts and mounts for the firestore. They are rubber and grip really well. I've used them on two shoots and they are very secure.

Have to say the name is not the best and still not too late to change it.

Still, if I made one of these and brought it to market, I would call it what I wanted and stuff what others thought!
