Two camera troubles with FCP

I am editing a period piece that was shot on an HVX200 and a Canon XL2. Everything was shot at 24 frames and 480 resolution.

Somehow the HVX footage is filled with noise and is barely usable. I have been trying to reimport this, imagining that it could be an importing issue. I am using the new version of FCP and when you put a shot from each camera in a sequence an alert tells me that it will make adjustments to allow both shots in the same timeline.

I have been running tests on different types of imports with no luck. Any other suggestions?
 
What modes were you shooting in? These cameras are very different in terms of resolution, codec etc and won't mix particularly well.

Similar Problem, I am mixing DVX100A, Basic HD and handycam 30fps the handycam footage looks pretty bad. I tried to de-interlace it but that makes the footage blurry. any suggestions?
