Scariest Horror Movie Poll

THE THING

Although not the scariest film I have ever seen, it ranks as maybe the best horror film I have ever seen; something like that.

The scene where the blood jumps out of the dish is epic. Still makes me smile.

Also, when Kurt comes back during the 'I cut him loose!' scene !

The scene in the Exorcist, before she has turned all the way and the mom (Ellen Burstyn) walks through the house in the dark to Regan's room finds it freezing cold and shuts the windows as Regan is breathing unnaturally in the bed. That whole scene is subliminally menacing and creepy, it eludes to something darker and more sinister in the minds of the viewers.
I have seen most every notable Horror film out there, and this is the only movie that gives me the chills every time I see it, and I'm not Catholic! So that blows that theory out of the water!
I do believe in Evil and I believe that Evil may be imprinted onto the negative of this film in one way or another!
If any movie belongs on a scariest movie poll it is The Exorcist!
 
A lot of people don't agree with that, but I still freak out every time I hear the name "Blair Witch Project"

I do freak out. My stomach still hurts everytime I remember the very effective "camerawork" the movie had.
