Nikon 55mm macro lens with Extreme

disjecta

Lucky Duck
I love this lens. You can focus on objects less than a foot in front of the lens and it's tack sharp at the wide end.

This shot is highly exaggerating the narrow depth of field. It was also a little underexposed but who cares, it's only posted here for Extreme junkies to get their fix!

Added music to make it more significant than it really is. :cheesy:

I'd make this really obscure reference about Disjecta's crack... it might come off wrong.

Wow.

I gots to try out my macro now!

I also have a 55mm from nikon that I'm dying to try when I get my LEX. How fast is your lens Disjecta? Mine is an oldie 1.2.

Papa, I placed the camera on a folded teeshirt and just pushed it very slowly on the smooth surface of the desk. It's the old towel dolly trick. You can use anything like a towel or a shirt or whatever. It's pretty effective, especially if you drag it backwards...has a very nice dolly effect.

My lens is f2.8... I can't justify spending hundreds more for a faster lens, I can buy an extra light for much less, LOL

Nice trick. Never heard of it before :)

Are you saying that because the f1.2 is suppose to be expensive? I have no idea since I received it as a gift...

Basically any fast Nikon lens (especially ultra-fast like f1.2) will be in the hundreds of dollars range versus around $100 for f2.8, in this case.
