An Autumn day with the Brevis Flip (Footage)

Great locations!
This ought to make for a very interesting shootout between the Letus Extreme and Cinevate flip module.
Cant wait to see a side by side test :)
 
Thanks L. We're extremely happy with the footage. Without question, it's the sharpest, cleanest footage (and framed at 10% wider than the SLR film 36mm standard!) we've ever posted.
 
Thanks Steve :-) On our focus/CA test grid, the edge sharpness is pretty much perfect across the plane of focus, even using the enhanced 16:9 frame.
 
Finally got out of dial-up land and had a chance to view this. Very beautiful, Dennis. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like not only a good flip unit, but a great time of year to shoot and some nice shooting too :)

Some very gorgeous footage. Looks clean and crisp too.

Thanks Lenny. It may be hard to believe looking at the footage, but it's going to get better yet with the engineered optics that were designed for the unit. Testing for chromatic aberration as well as spherical issues is showing that we can maintain what will likely be the widest and sharpest field of view attainable by any adapter on the market right now.

Our CINEFUSE (interchangeable imaging elements) R&D program is still running full tilt with one option just around the corner that is going to have current Brevis owner's very happy with their investment. We've been working on an option that produces film accurate bokeh beyond any level currently seen in the market....stay tuned.

Are you suggesting that the the flip module + brevis will actually be sharper than the brevis by itself?
 
With many cameras, yes. The Brevis unit as it stands is very sharp, but we've taken over a year to develop the flip and related optics to the level they're at. We've also come up with CF1Le which refines CF1L further for amazing performance with slower zoom/prime wide angle lenses.
 
Thanks Corey. Folks purchasing the pre-flip bundle will basically end up with a complete Brevis flip rig, non-flip rig, and our 45cm carbon rails system/Brevis support at a very competive price.
