204mb.... almost 2 mins, downrezzed to 720p

while downloading this now, Im looking over your specs, and thinking that F-4 200mm cant be leaving your a lot of headroom for stopping down now is it? Purely an outdoors sunny day lens? How do you like it? The F2 version must be 500% more expensive [ if one could find an F2].

Steven,

Nice stuff as always - I'm relocating my mom from Seattle to S. Oregon early November - I'm going to miss the family outings up to the pacific northwest :)

I thought maybe I detected a hair of edge softness on some of the foliage shots but when the window rack stuff appeared, it looked as though everything was sharp as a tack. Good to see - I've got one on order now.

thanks again for the footage.

Funny because it didn't register to me, either, that the trees and skyline shot were through a window. When the rack came everything was edge-to-edge.

=\ Thanks for supplying more crack.

The colors are great.

You mean making our own crack. Letus Meth Houses EVERYWHERE!!!

Really, I just can't wait to get the unit. I think it's more the anticipatory feeling toward an abundance of HVX + Letus footage, and seeing how it fairs with that system.

Vivid colours, great choice for that particular edit. The resolution the A1, or A1/Letus/Nikon combo resolves makes me want to do my own comparison between the HVX and A1. I can't wait to get the A1. Great footage Steven, thanks for sharing.

I've ALWAYS seen an apparent advantage in Resolution on the A1 vs the HVX. IMO that's definitely no secret at all. Having that advantage seems to only make the adapter combination that much better.

Can't wait for the influx of HVX footages... that's me saying it for the fifteenth time.

Cool, thanks for your view on the A1, Kholi. I can't wait to get one. Now I am saying it again! Those sunset skies look amazing. Steven's got some magic going on.

Wow. Definitely some of the sharpest adapter footage I have ever seen. That long lens shot down the side walk was amazing. Gave me the chills!

Beautiful looking as usual. You have been displaying the sharpest adapter footage I have seen. Thank you taking the time to do so, it's very appreciated.

I know it's no testament to the raw files, but man this stuff looks good @ 42" inches. I can only imagine how much nicer it is on your end.

Truly the sharpest adapter footage I've seen. So sharp that I hope it's not just the A1/LetusEX combo.

Is next week here yet?

I've ALWAYS seen an apparent advantage in Resolution on the A1 vs the HVX.

Not with proper lighting (for the HVX) I havent seen that.

Remember that disjecta is downscaling from 1080 AND posting 720 footage or us to look at~ And thats not something I see too many HVXers doing.

The HVX can certainly hold its own, and imho is at the very least equal to the A1 if not superior ;)

Don't get me wrong, I am happy enough with my HVX to continue using it. However, there's not a single person here that can convince me that the HVX is as sharp as the A1 out of the box.

Tweak the HVX? Sure. Then tweak the A1 while you're at it. As far as sharpness goes, to me, the Canon's win is pretty much in the image. Color rendition, etc? HVX wins out of the box, A1 can be tuned for more-than acceptable levels. This footage is pretty much an example of that.

Like I said, I love my HVX. Gets me plenty of work, produced a great image (when tweaked and handled properly). Still think the A1's much sharper and crisp.

Isecond that kholi, from what I've seen coming from the a1 i'd half to agree that the a1 is by far the sharpest camera in its price range.I've blown my footage up 0ver 200% at times and the footage was still amazingly sharp.

Don't mistake sharpness for apparent resolution, they are two distinctly different animals. The HVX renders a sharp image but it cannot resolve as much "detail" as the XHA1. This is really only an issue when shooting wide shots. Medium and closeup shots are negligible by comparison.

For me, however, that is a critical distinction because a lot of my work involves wide vistas.
