my reel on the web

My web designer asked for a file with the following settings for the web:

mp4 file 320x240 resolution and a250kbps bit
rate and a 15 frames per second.

Does that sound about right?

Yes, that sounds perfect. Web video seems to prefer 15fps and that resolution is fine. Audio, I dunno. I think a lot about resolution and audio quality has to do with length and desired download time.

I´d do 640x360, 25p and at least 512kbs.
When looking for a cinematographer, I´d rather wait a little, but see a high quality video...
Just my 2c.

Yeah, it's a shame that vimeo's new HD quality streaming is only on their site and can't be HD when implemented into your own site.

Hi, I'm not really a cinematographer. I've written, directed and produced some commercials. I'm trying to promote that.

Second question: Should I watermark it with "NOT FOR BROADCAST"? or my logo?

Not for broadcast? that seem a little too far, unless you do not own the rights to the footage and the owner requests you do so. However, logo's are always good in the lower right or wherever. I dunno about watermarks personally. I think they're somewhat distracting from the content.
