Any firmware needed for 16gig P2 card

First time I've seen the link in your signature for updates, etc. Very helpful. Thanks for your effort.

Hello Barry, I am currently using an HVX with both the P2 Cards and Firestore. I have one problem: When I shoot using the 16gig cards I can see the media when I go to FCP and Use the transfer mode to FCP; however when I select log and transfer it brings the media into my browser when using MiniDV; however when I shoot 720P I can see the media but when it attempts to transfer It will not go to the browser and when I click on the media icon It gives me the red error sign and tells me to select a translation document? I have no clue as to what this is...bottom line all is well except when using the P2 cards in HD or 720p ...they will not transfer to the browser or time line of the project. Any help would be appreciated. I have loaded all of the firmwear, to both my Macbook and my camera...

Sounds like you're probably running an older version of FCP, probably 5.0. 5.0 doesn't support P2HD clips. You'd need to upgrade to a later version -- at least 5.0.4, preferably 5.1.4 or FCP6 -- in order to work with HD clips.

(in case you are working with 5.0.4 or later, my next suggestion would be to ditch the silly FCP import tool entirely, and get raylight for the Mac, which should solve all your import problems).
