"My Gollum" a mocap test with 3D Max I found

Pretty impressive as a test, although the performance was a little stiff, but in the case that doesn't really matter.

Syntheyes has a mocap feature I've been itching to use, once we get a chance to rent a few extra cam's I'm going to give a shot.
 
Excellent work, this guy actually managed to do it!

This gives me some motivation to carry on with my own facial mocap experiements :)

@oneinfiniteloop, I've tried the syntheyes facial capture with there sample files and could'nt get it to work (even following the tutorial)

Then I tried it in PFtrack, I got some results, but was far from perfect.

All the cool tricks we have watched in the movies are truly getting closer to home.

It's a really great time to be doing this kind of work.


As a side note, the software he used cost 15 grand, but there are far more inexpensive ways of doing it.

This kind of sh!it makes opens so many possibilities, you really have to rethink your entire workflow.

And I think that is a good thing.
