Good lightweight tripod for field use?

I shoot quite a bit in remote areas in the Pacific islands and weight restrictions are critical.

I know that this is a somewhat "loaded" question, but is there a tripod/head combo that can be used in the field that is lightweight, sturdy, and I can hand carry onto planes? Any info would be appreciated.
 
It depends....Are you using just the dvx on the tripod? if so then the Manfrotto 501 Fluid head, with the 055db legs is a great combo...For me at least.

But if you g ot an adapter, a lcd mount, a light, all this adds in, and so you might need a stronger head. Or legs, not really sure
