More new Letus Extreme footage

disjecta

Lucky Duck
Some more tests with my lovely daughter

Natural lighting shots and 250w keylight shots (with subtle backlight and fill)...all indoors

50mm f1.8 zoomed to 35mm Academy size
(This mimics the angle of view of 35mm motion picture lenses as opposed to 35mm photography lenses...)

The Nikon was open to f1.8, Canon lens was set to f3.4 for the 250w test...can't remember details of natural light shots.

Fantastic - Natural Lighting?! I'm incredibly psyched about this new adapter as my setups are generally very light on the lighting equipment front (for the fact that I don.t have a car and don.t want to lug tons of lights around NYC by subway) ;) As soon as I figure out this rod situation (see my other thread) I'm placing my order...Fan-Frikcin-Tastic! And if I may say, please keep the footage coming, as I'll need something to do while waiting the four weeks to get mine :)

Mark.

Thanks for sharing. I could never get colours like that on camera even using your VIVID RGB preset. There's a sort of milkiness to it.

What 250W light were you using? I'm thinking of getting one (finally).

Oh...strike my statement...still fantastic use of 250w...but I just thought from your other post about kitchen lights that the wattage you were referring to was a combination of 50w bulbs...woops...my mistake :)

Thanks guys...I'm using a Lowel Pro Light (it's part of a kit I own).

To get rid of the milky blacks in your footage, do a levels adjustment in your NLE to make the black richer.

Hey disjecta,

Your so lucky. I could never get my kids to stand still long enough to get those shots.
Looks great. Just ordered my Letus yesterday. Zeiss 85mm f1.4 just arrived today, and my Canon has been with me for around 2-1/2 weeks. Christmas has come early this year:) So does would you say that the Canon xha1 is the best low light HD cam in its price rage?

So you should like grab someone's HVX and shoot some Letus+HVX footage for us.

=D

Once again, great example/demo footage. Edge-to-edge, no visible vignetting (or at least I can't see it). Sigh.

Thanks Steven, as usual your footage looks great!

The Letus Extreme shots your getting look almost like raw lens no adapter optical clean. Amazing!
