Aliens Versus Predator Requiem

Aliens versus Predator Requiem? So...it's like a crossover of Aliens, Predator, and Requiem for a Dream? Are the Predators heroin addicts? I gotta say, I'm not too crazy about this.
 
Did either of you even watch the trailer.....? Even without watching the trailer the fact that it's not being directed by paul w.s. anderson increases the possibility that it will not suck. Having watched the trailer myself it looks pretty damn sweet.... Maybe you should watch the trailer before jumping to conclusions.
And what's wrong with predators becoming heroin addicts?
 
I like AVP. Keep 'em comin'! But I'm still waiting for Alien v. Jason v. Freddy Kruger v. Predator. Now that's a flick worth watching.

Funny thing about trailers is, they can be very misleading. But I didn't make any comments about the movie, I was just making a joke.
 
yeah, I did watch the trailer, which is what prompted my question.

It looks like teen slasher movie, which I personally don't enjoy. I love Alien AND Predator, but this franchise is rather silly :/

in most states those are fighting words. i would type out what it means but i don't want to get banned. :)
 
The site does not allow anyone born before 1900 to view the video. That is age discrimination.
 
Having watched the trailer, I must say that it looks like your typical monster film, i.e. Arachnophobia, Bats, etc... Just with Alien and Predator this time. Nothing in it made it look like it was going to be good.

I wonder if the filmmakers even know or care about what Requiem means, or if the words just fits the requirement for a "cool" and "dramatic" subtitle.
 
How does using requiem not work?

In modern use of the word it can be literally translated to death, and that word more than any other is perfect for a 'true' AVP movie. So I am pretty sure they do know what it means. A perfect example is Requiem for a Dream, translating into Death of the American Dream.
 
I translated it to mean the Requiem Mass

Also called Requiem Mass. the Mass celebrated for the repose of the souls of the dead.

Sure, there will be death in the film, but using it sounds precocious almost for a film that will most likely be cheese
