Another new flip adapter: Letus35 Economy

What is a good and fair price to ask while selling the Letus FE for those who had it for a year or so and it's in perfect condition? Just curious since I know there's a whole bunch of us scratching our heads right now with mixed feelings about what to do next.

The FE remains an excellent choice, and is a current model and its price is unchanged -- it still sells for $700. The Economy is more expensive (at $900) and the Extreme is more expensive still (at $1200).

Are you saying that one could still sell a used Letus FE in perfect condition for $700. I meant in the marketplace of selling it yourself.

Only time will tell what the used market price will settle at on the Letus FE. The price will not change for a new model so you should see a fairly stable used market price as it is still a very solid 35mm adapter that film makers on a lower budget will continue to seek out.

I have been kicking around the idea of starting a "Used Marketplace" on LetusDirect.com and doing some advertising for it to help those who want to upgrade to the Extreme and don't fall under our 60 day exchange program we have going right now.

What do you think? Would that be helpful?

No, because a brand-new one goes for $700. I was saying that the L35FE remains a current product with a current price of $700. It's not like the L35FE was discontinued or anything.

Realistically, you could probably get around $500 - $550 for it. This is just typical depreciation of anything in the camera biz.

I think this would be a great way to help out past and future customers.

ecking... yes, LetusDirect.com has been "off the ground" for some time now. It is being run along side of Quyen's site to help take some of the order management / customer support load off him so he can focus on the development and production side of things.

The goal of LetusDirect.com is to provide the best customer support possible for new and experienced users. Head on over and check it out :)

Then you guys should just scrap adapter place altogether then. Letus direct looks way better and the url makes way more sense. Just have adapter place's url point to Letus Direct and discontinue the url after a half a year to a year. Two sites is confusing.

Hi,

This is Hien Le, the co-owner of Letus.

http://www.letusdirect.com is own by one of our resellers. We have a deal with him that he does his own customer supports and troubleshooting.

The official website for Letus is still at http://www.adapterplace.com

If you order it through letusdirect.com, you get support there. If you buy it through adapterplace.com, you will get our support.

Thanks,

Hien

It does not actually affect you place in line. Just different support. Nothing major anyway, just want to make it clear.
