I've read in a couple threads about people using the iRiver for audio, especially for remote budget recording.

I wondering what people thought of the Olympus WS-300M for doing the same thing.

Any feedback would be great.

thnx

The Olympus is a dictation device. It records a very compressed file designed for voice intelegibility at minimum data rate, for transcribing. In other words the sound quality sucks big time. The iRiver HD boxes can record uncompressed WAV files. They are not very convenient and I wouldn't recomend them but over a dictation device... no contest.
