I use the PS3 as my videoplayer with clients. So I export my films to h.264-files and play them off SD cards in the playstation. Works beautifully.
But now I need to create a DV-file and have problems.
Here´s what I do:
Export via Procoder Express, choose Quicktime Exportfile and MPEG4.
When adjusting the settings i usually simply take the 1280x720 preset, 1500kbit and auto-keyframe and am done. This also works with the DV project, but it gets upscaled and that is not too pretty. So I try to make a 16:9 DV-sized clip, bit it always gets squeezed to 4:3 or letterboxed 4:3. Whenever I choose the 768x576 (PAL land) preset I see in the settings 4:3 even when I choose a 16:9 pixelaspect.
Does anyone know how this works in Edius/Procoder?
