Exporting DVX100B Squeeze Mode For Web With Proper ASPECT RATIO

Shot with Dvx100B, NTSC
captured as NTSC DV 720x480, and checked the anormphic box. Everything looks peachy in FCP 5.

Problem is...when I export the footage in FCP using quicktime conversion, it becomes squished, it looks no longer like 16x9, its way similar to 4:3. I have tried everything to preserve the 16x9 aspect ratio when exporting, but no setting will work! Please! Anybody! What the heck am I doing wrong? I know for a fact I captured it propery. It just gets junky after export.

Go into compressor and set 16:9 as your aspect ratio in the spatial tab of the inspector. Then set the size.

i'm using FCP to compress the file, and i know there should be a way to do it without using compressor. even after selecting NTSC DV 720x480 16x9 as the export option it won't work. huh???
