What are you listening to? I'm getting old, I need new music

Here's my current Top Ten:

White Stripes - Ball & Biscuit
The Black Keys - 10 a.m. Automatic
Cold War Kids - Hosptial Beds
Wolfmother - Woman
Pearl Jam - Corduroy
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Maps
Days of the New - Touch, Peel, Stand
Eels - Fresh Feeling
Kenny Rogers - Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town
Toadies - Pressed Against the Sky

Wow - alright - now I have a ton of new stuff to go dig up.
Thanks for the suggestions... and thanks to those of you who actually emailed me stuff.
:)

I've always felt like new music is necessary to keep my mind going - if I don't actively seek it out every once in a while, I listen to the same stuff over and over and I start feeling stagnant.

It's like the soundtrack to your life - and you want to change it up every now and again.

Peeping Tom (best.cover.ever. somewhat out there. only time you'll ever hear the words "motherf*cker* come out of Norah Jones' lips on an album)

Mike Patton is nuts....but in a Frank Zappa kind of way.

Have you ever heard Mr. Bungle?

I have pretty much everything Patton ever did. Naked City, Fantomas, Mr. Bungle, Adult Themes for Voice, FNM, Bjork, you name it

I just got into Nina Simone. Great artist. Below is a list of some of her best tracks:

Ain't Got No/I Got Life
Ain't No Use
Backlash Blues
Be My Husband
Brown Eyed Handsome Man
Come on Back - Jack
Do I Move You (Version II)
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood
Feeling Good
Funkier than a Mosquito's Tweeter
He Ain't Comin' Home No More
House of the Rising Sun
In The Dark
Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out
Nobody's Fault But Mine
Sinner Man
Strange Fruit
Work Song

They are all great but the standouts are Feeling Good and Sinnerman, plus Strange Fruit is one of the best written and most haunting songs.

Also, Fiona Apple is fantastic. Pretty much all her albums are great, but her second "When the Pawn..." is great from start to finish.

Oh, just to balance out the women I recommended. The Beatles are the greatest group of all-time (as many know). Anything by them is perfect.

But the greatest album of all time is John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (Lennon's first real solo album). Perfection is all I can say. That album is one man's soul completely put down on record.
