This happened to me recently while editing a music video in FCP 6.0

When i export the video (using QUICKTIME MOVIE and/or H264) the output has SOME video that is WAY out of sync, and some video that is just not in my sequence.

totally killing me here ... this a bug or what? two of my friends said they've gone through the same thing.

any help? thanks!

Im sending a lovely poop basket to the programmer responsible for this issue. If anyone knows his name and/or address, please send.

What is the out of sync footage and how was it captured and onto what sort of hard drive? BTW, I happen know the programmers they are nice folks and I think you'll not get their attention too well with a poop basket.

it was shot on film, transferred to DVcam and some on MiniDV for the offline ... imported with a sony deck. the out of sync footage happens about 4-5 times on random clips. the harddrive was a G-Raid.

I've tried troubleshooting this however it's unexplainable ... what do you suggest noah?

thanks !

no audio, it's a music video ... i had 50 tracks of video, and JUST brought it all down to 3 layers for an EDL ... after exporting it, STILL ... same **** ... Noah, if you could e-mail me at dandobi@gmail.com to talk about this, that'd be great ... ever hear of this?

thanks man !

Not sure- how do you mean out of sync if there's no audio. Chances are you have some files named the same or something.

see that's the problem ... there's no audio, it's just SLIPPING off about 10-20 frames ... same clip, just ... slipped off sync ... or where i originally placed it ...

to double check it, i made an XML, brought it to FCP 5.1.4, then reexported and BOOM! it was fine! wtf !?
