OK. I don't like Britney one bit but right now I feel nothing but sympathy and sadness for her. what on earth has happened to that poor woman? she must be having a nervous breakdown or something.

no honestly, I feel really bad for her. imagine feeling that you have to perform even though you are clearly out of shape, have no energy and are about to fall apart. she looked like she just wanted to die.

Ok I'm always reluctant to get all spirtual on the boards, but don't feel too bad sometimes in brokeness people find further truth, or it could go the other way. Hopefully in her case it will be for the better.
 
I think that performance is on-par with most other VMA performances. More interesting to watch, certainly.

My heart bleeds for people with youth and health and millions of fans and mansions and beemers and swimming pools and designer wardrobes and vast, vast, vast reserves of cash.

Spears can always retire well before thirty and start the second career of her choice. Or just hang out by the pool, spending her money.

Really, why would anyone care?

They have been pimping this chick for a long time, and they're going to keep on pimping her until she no longer makes any money for them...whether it is because she drops dead, or because 13 year old girls stop admiring her and find another lip-synching lap dancer to adore and emulate.

She might not have known what she was getting into way back when, but she is the one who keeps signing up for more.

She's about as bright as a root cellar at midnight, and her soul was packaged and sold with her parent's blessings from the get go....so what do you expect?

She can't sing, she can't act, her hero is Madonna (not the one from religion, either)...skin is pretty much all she has ever had to offer. When she used to get asked about the sexuality in her videos, she would always wonder what people were talking about...even though she would be writhing around in lingerie or engaged in a group grope in whatever video she just released. She couldn't see the connection?

She is either the dumbest broad that ever was, or a well handled automaton...either way, my advice, as I have been saying for years about so many no-talent, T & A tartlets who have stripped their way into the spotlight is to just get it over with and make the move to porn.

Be honest about who you are and what you do...bring balance back to the Universe.

And to add to that point, she ALWAYS lip-syncs during her performances, including the one listed above....of which I have ZERO TOLERENCE for........
 
I have no sympathy for her. She's 25, insanely rich, and she doesn't have to get dressed up and parade around like a coked up peacock.

She could do anything she wanted right now, she could make films, she could write a book, she could travel for the next year, or she could actually use some of her wealth to do something good. And yet she chooses to be a fat celebrity cow.

If every American mother of two were as "out of shape" as is Britney, American husbands would be ecstatic.
